Original summer cocktail named for its recipient — and barkeep’s bestest buddy. its a “sling,” in spirit — bittered & sweetened, and served tall — but may technically not qualify. It does qualify, however, as absolutely refreshing — just like its namesake.
THE LOLLILOO SLING THING
1 1/2 oz. Aperol (or Campari)
2 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. ginger syrup (homemade)
Shake vigorously with ice, then pour into iced highball glass and top with fresh club soda, and a splash of orange juice (optional). Garnish passionately.
